This website and its read-along are made for children and families, so the short version is: we don’t collect anything about you.

What we don’t do

The read-along

When you enter the code from your book, your browser stores one small cookie called roads_key. It only says that this browser has unlocked the read-along, so you don’t have to type the code again. It contains no personal information and lasts up to a year. Clearing your browser’s cookies removes it.

The read-along also saves your page and settings (like “Slower” or “Big words”) in your browser’s own storage, on your device. That information is never sent to us.

Our host

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Buying the book

The “Buy” links go to Amazon. What happens there is covered by Amazon’s own privacy policy.
